The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has recommended that women between 11 and 26 be vaccinated for the HPV virus. Religious groups are effectively banning the vaccine because they fear it will encourage promiscuity.

Religious groups opposed because they fear promiscuity? Oh please! Do they fear disease/cancer? This is a vaccine that protects women and should be given at a young age in a series of three shots. I highly doubt that giving a young lady three shots is going to make her promiscuous. It is for her protection for a lifetime. If giving a gal this vaccination is reason enough for her to become promiscuous, then I would suggest there was a problem prior to the vaccines.

Except for the fact that it might kill them, it seems like a logical idea. It is clearly religious wrath but it is doubtful that deaths or reactions will stop it from being mandated. It is Merck, after all and pharmaceuticals ARE the new god.
